PhD funded studentship in ‘Social attention in the real world’

The University of Lincoln is offering a funded PhD studentship opportunity within the School of Psychology.
The successful candidate will study how the perceived gaze of others influences the observer’s own eye gaze by measuring and analysing people’s eye gaze while encountering real life (actor’s) social cues.
We welcome applicants from psychology, cognitive science, computer science, engineering and physics. Interests in conducting experiments with human participants and in analysing large sets of data are essential.
Applicants should have a first or upper second class honours degree, or equivalent, in a relevant area. Applicants with a relevant Masters are particularly welcome. Suitably qualified candidates worldwide may apply, although International students must self-fund the difference between the International and UK/EU fee rate. Applicants should possess excellent report writing and English language communication skills and an ability to work to deadlines.
Tuition Fees included (capped at UK/EU fee level)
Stipend/Living allowance: £14,296 per annum
Start date 3rd October 2016
Duration: 36 months
