The University of Lincoln is offering a funded PhD studentship opportunity within the Lincoln School of Business.The successful candidate will use appropriate household models and data to empirically study consumption choices under price and income uncertainty. The analysis will address diet formation and quality, as well as implications of consumption choices for nutritional security and health. Applicants are encouraged to develop their own specific research questions.
Applicants with a good economics degree and interests in modelling consumption decisions and nutrition are ideally suited to apply. Strong quantitative research skills is essential and experience in working with household datasets and statistical packages is desirable.
Applicants should have a first or upper second class honours degree, or equivalent, in a relevant area. Applicants with a relevant Masters are particularly welcome. Suitably qualified candidates worldwide may apply, although International students must self-fund the difference between the International and UK/EU fee rate. Applicants should possess excellent report writing and English language communication skills and an ability to work to deadlines.
Tuition Fees included (capped at UK/EU fee level)
Stipend/Living allowance: £14,296 per annum
