International Helmut Claas-Scholarship 2016 for students of Engineering, Agricultural studies and Economics:
You have finished your bachelor thesis in 2015/2016?
Then you have already completed the first task for the Helmut Claas Scholarship. Join the competition and win one of the four scholarships or one of the bonus prizes.

Are you enthusiastic about agriculture and agricultural engineering?
Are you a student in the fields of Engineering, Agricultural studies or Economics?
Have you written and submitted your bachelor thesis in 2015/2016?
Then apply for the Helmut Claas-Scholarship!
What do you submit for your application?
The main item of your application is your bachelor thesis which should be linked to agricultural engineering or have any other connection with agriculture and its related industries.
Possible topics: Agricultural Engineering, bio systems technology, green technology, Machinery management, energy or other interesting agriculture related technical projects.
Those students continuing with a higher degree programme (taught MSc, MSc by Research or MPhil) qualify for both categories i.e. one of the four scholarships or for one of the bonus prizes.
Those students completing their degree with the bachelor thesis exclusively qualify for the bonus prizes in categories such as innovation, extracurricular engagement etc
This is what you get:
A total of four scholarships will be awarded in 2016:
1st prize: Funding amount of 7,200 Euro (600 Euro/month for a total of 12 months)
2nd prize: Funding amount of 6,000 Euro (500 Euro/month for a total of 12 months)
3rd prize: Funding amount of 4,800 Euro (400 Euro/month for a total of 12 months)
4th prize: Funding amount of 3,600 Euro (300 Euro/month for a total of 12 months)
Furthermore, bonus prizes of 1.500 Euro each will be awarded in the categories of innovation, extracurricular engagement and technical engagement.

Please email us your application consisting of the following:
- Your bachelor thesis (either in German or English).
- A brief summary of your work (ca. one page).
- A covering letter where you also state your estimated graduation date and what your future plans are.
- Curriculum Vitae (including information on traineeship, work abroad, extracurricular engagement etc.) and a summary of your interim study marks and results.
- Written confirmation from your university that you are registered on an appropriate Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree program.
- A recommendation letter from your tutor / professor would be helpful
The Foundation’s decisions are final and are in no way subject to appeal
