Job description

The Texas Wine Marketing Institute at Texas Tech University is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated doctoral student in wine marketing or other wine business related research. Doctoral dissertation should be focused in the area of wine business or wine marketing.
The Texas Wine Marketing Institute, as a branch of the Hospitality and Retail Management Department in the College of Human Sciences, provides timely, relevant wine business research and education. Graduate student stipends and fee waivers are available for up to three years, as are support for research, travel and data collection. Opportunities to teach are also possible in the areas of wine marketing, wine tourism and/or other wine businesses courses.

Desired skills and experience

  • Obtained Masters degree in Hospitality, Marketing, or other business disciplines. Masters in Food Science or Viticulture with clear business research interests may also be considered. Masters must be complete by July 31, 2016.
  • Strong research experience in wine and beverage research. Preference will be given to those who have completed a thesis and who have prior publication experience.
  • Ability to work independently and also in a group/collaborative environment
  • Effective communications skills, self-motivated.
