Job description
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is
 currently available at Dept. of Oral Biology, Microbiology and 
Immunology, State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY at Buffalo). 
This project is funded by a grant from the US National Institutes of 
Health and will study bacterial genetics and host-pathogen interactions 
focused on pathogenic spirochetes that cause Lyme disease and 
periodontal disease. The postdoctoral fellow will be expected to conduct
 research, contribute to publications, participate in journal clubs, 
seminars and other academic training experiences, and to communicate 
research findings to the group and present at local and national 
conferences.
Desired skills and experience
Minimum requirements:
 A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in the fields of microbiology, bacterial 
genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, or cell biology. Experience 
in bacterial genetics, protein chemistry, cell biology, animal models of
 infectious disease and/or immunology research is preferred.
