Job description
Positions
are available at the University of Wyoming Department of Petroleum
Engineering for graduate students interested in computational chemistry.
In particular, projects focus on molecular dynamics of complex
hydrocarbon fluids under nano-confinement.  Applicants will learn how to
use state-of-the-art high performance computing for advanced molecular
modeling simulations to analyze hydrocarbon phase behavior in nanoporous
media typical of tight shale rocks.
Applicants will be expected to complete a series of course requirements in both the chemistry and engineering. They should have a good background in organic and physical chemistry, be self-motivated, hardworking and possess or be willing to learn computer programming skills. Living stipends and health insurance are available to competitive applicants.
