There is usually one round of studentships per year. There will be no deadline for studentships in 2016.
We are undertaking essential maintenance on our research grants management system in 2016. This means that there are fewer grant rounds open this year. We expect to run our usual grant schemes in 2017.
Our PhD studentship scheme provides funding over 3 years to students based at a UK higher education institution.
Students receive:
- a stipend of £16,000 per year (or £17,000 per year if in London)
- full PhD tuition fees (at the UK/EU rate)
- a contribution of up to £10,000 per year towards research costs
Students from outside of the EU are welcome to apply for this scheme on a full fee paying basis.
Supervisors should contact their university's research office regarding fees for overseas students.
