The School of Life Sciences at the University of Lincoln is an interdisciplinary school, providing an exciting and stimulating environment where excellence in teaching and research are highly valued, and we provide opportunities for students and staff to pursue their scientific ambitions. The excellence of our research was confirmed in the recent government REF assessment in which 90% of our submitted papers were judged to be internationally excellent or world-leading.The School of Life Sciences is offering a range of potential PhD projects available across biological sciences including: Animal Behaviour, Cognition and Welfare, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Evolution and Ecology, Microbiology, Forensic Anthropology, Biology and Zoology. These projects are listed below. Of the ten advertised projects, five applicants, on five projects will be selected for funding, contingent upon the strength of the applicants.

Stipend/Living allowance: £14,296 per annum
Start date 1st October 2016
Duration: 36 months

Candidates must have a good honours degree, or a relevant Masters degree or equivalent. A minimum IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) will be required, where appropriate.
