About the Ph.D. fellowship

The project should proceed from current international research in the field and critically engage with the methodology of English as a school subject, for the purpose of developing and strengthening (both pupils’ and teachers’) learning processes. A strong application would also indicate how the project accords with existing research and teaching in English methodology at the Faculty of Professional Studies, and the applicant is as such asked to reflect over how the proposed project can contribute towards development at both the department- and faculty levels. (Cf. for instance English instruction in the Master of Education-program, the potential role of English as a subject in the faculty’s formal research training, etc.) The Ph.D. in Professional Praxis comprises a course component of 45 ECTS as well as the production of an independent piece of scientific research.
The duration of the position is 3 years without additional work assignments at the Faculty, or 4 years with 25% allocated annually to other work assignments.
